A former All Black World Cup medallist has thrown his support behind the Springboks and Rassie Erasmus ahead of Sunday's showdown against France in Paris.
It’s do or die for Rassie Erasmus and his Springboks side when they take on France a last eight playoff showdown in the 2023This Sunday’s game against a the world’s number two ranked Test side and the host nation is expected to be a tense and hard-fought affair. During a television interview previewing the Springboks versus France showdown, former All Blacks flyhalf Stephen Donald warned Les Bleus to underestimate the South Africans at their peril.
“We can talk about the draw for hours, but facing South Africa in a quarter-final when you’re supposedly one of the best teams in the world is tough,” the former All Black added.
