Smallville had several DC characters appear in the series over its 10-season run, and some had better superhero suits than others.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Smallville's long, 10-season run allowed the DC series to feature many characters from the comics, and all kinds of superhero suits came with them. Long before James Gunn's DC Universe, the old DCEU, or even the Arrowverse, was Smallville. Tom Welling led Smallville's 10 seasons, with his Clark Kent going from a boy to a bona fide hero.
18 Supergirl Laura Vandervoort's Supergirl barely had a superhero suit; however, the character did not have an overly leathery look, which is a plus. Smallville's Kara Kent used regular clothes with a color scheme that evoked Supergirl's classic costume from the comics and other works like Melissa Benoist's Arrowverse Supergirl. Vandervoort's Supergirl wore a long-sleeved blue shirt with a red skirt and boots. The character also wore a bracelet with the House of El crest.
15 Warrior Angel Alec Abrams, aka Warrior Angel, was the only superhero to show up in Smallville that was not from the comics. The character does have many similarities to Shazam, with both Alec and Billy Batson being kids who receive magical powers and transform into adult superheroes. Warrior Angel had a defined silver superhero suit with a red cape and a "W" logo with angel wings at the center of the costume.
11 Blue Beetle Smallville's Blue Beetle looked far worse than Xolo Maridueña's version of the character from the hero's solo movie, who is one of the confirmed characters for James Gunn's new DC Universe. That said, in a series where most heroes wore leather or basic costumes, Smallville's ambitious attempt at bringing Jaime Reyes' Blue Beetle armor to life is commendable.
8 Doctor Fate Smallville did the best it could with its budget for Doctor Fate's costume, which looked comic book-accurate but nowhere near as good as Pierce Brosnan's from Black Adam. Smallville's Doctor Fate wore what one would expect from the hero, with a blue and gold suit that included an amulet in the front attached to a golden cape. Doctor Fate also had his signature mystical helmet.
5 Superboy Like Zatanna, Superboy's iconic costume from the comics is not hard at all to adapt in live-action. High School Musical's Lucas Grabeel looked comics-accurate as Smallville's Conner Kent. Superboy wore his signature black shirt with the red House of El crest in the series. Alongside blue jeans, the character looked exactly as he does in the comics.
