The dance company’s ‘Sayaw Tungo sa Kalayaan’ is directed by National Artist for Dance Alice Reyes and its artistic director Ronelson YadaoIn celebration of the country’s 126th Independence Day, dance company Alice Reyes Dance Philippines will be staging a show titled Sayaw Tungo sa Kalayaan.
Commemorating the country’s journey to independence, the show is directed by National Artist for Dance Alice Reyes along with Alice Reyes Dance Philippines Artistic Director Ronelson Yadao. The music and cultural show will feature music composed by Ryan Cayabyab, Fabian Obispo, Jerrold Tarog, Francisco Santiago, and Kent Charcos.
The event will also be graced by renowned figures in the industry such as Shiela Valderrama-Martinez, Antonio Fernandez Ferrer, Poppert A. Bernadas, and Nica Tupas. The show serves as a collaboration between the dance company, the Office of the President, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
The Sayaw Tungo sa Kalayaan will be held at the Burnham Greens, Quirino Grandstand tonight at 7:00. Admission will be free for all.
