Singer Alexandra Burke dazzled at The Fragrance Foundation Awards in a slimmed-down figure, discussed her surprise engagement to Darren Randolph, and reflected on family life while honoring her late mother's memory.

The 37-year-old singer joined other notable attendees such as Jo Wood and her daughter Faye at the prestigious event that celebrates the creativity and influence within the fragrance industry. Burke's attendance was particularly significant given her public journey with weight management; she previously served as a Slimfast ambassador and successfully reduced her weight from 11 stone 4 pounds to 10 stone in six months during 2016 after a dress zip split during a performance. Her personal life has also seen joyful milestones.
She and her fiancé, Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren Randolph, welcomed their first child in July 2022 and a second in September 2023, choosing to keep the children's names private. The couple became engaged in September 2024 during a romantic candlelit dinner, an event Burke described as deeply meaningful because her young family was present.
They originally met through a dating site in 2018 after performing together at a charity event for the Melissa Bell Foundation and Style For Stroke at London's Rosewood Hotel. Burke revealed she quickly decided Randolph was the one and left the dating platform after just two weeks, but the proposal still came as a surprise despite her hinting on the talk show Loose Women months earlier.
She expressed immense happiness about marrying her best friend and noted that her children were thrilled by the engagement, as Randolph included them in the moment.
