Robert Eggers is once again capturing audiences' imaginations in The Northman, the follow-up to his highly acclaimed 2019 film The Lighthouse. The brutal revenge film is inspired by Scandinavian folklore - specifically by the same folktale that inspired Shakespeare's Hamlet. Already released in countries around the world, the movie has been praised for its spectacular visuals and powerful performances.
That was an important aspect that I wanted the audience to feel in his eyes; that there was a longing. That he was very lonely and abandoned. He hasn't been able to connect with another human being in 20 years, so that is what drives him in a way. Alexander Skarsgård: Probably just letting go of all inhibitions and allowing yourself to kind of lose control in a way. It helps being wet and cold and tired, because when you're out there in the elements and you're dealing with it, all the vanity and all that is gone. And you're just in it.
People loved you in True Blood, and you've already set Tiktok aflame with your stint in Succession. I know you've done miniseries as well, but I'm just wondering if you will ever return to the small screen for us again.
