UFC 303 kicked off on Saturday, bringing with it some exciting fights that included a last-minute showdown between Diego Lopes and Dan Ige, and the highly anticipated rematch between Alex Pereira and Jiří Procházka. Though both were notified of the title fight on a few weeks notice, Pereira and Procházka dared to be great.
He has a 27-1 record, and his lone loss is a disqualification that occurred against Matt Hamill in Dec. 2009. The loss has long been contested by Jones and many others.Still, while Jones continues to wait to fight former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic to defend his title, other champions have fought multiple times in that time frame.Current pound-for-pound leader Makhachev has defended his title three times since March 2023.
