) - Children in Alex City have an awesome new place to explore when they’re looking to play outside, a 10,500 square-foot playground! The community came together Friday to host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the city’s new “ Imagination Station ” playground, a massive play area with swings, slides, and a lot of other fun things.
The Imagination Station is a special project for the city because the majority of the funds raised to build the space was raised through donations from individuals, local businesses, and grants. “The original Imagination came down a few years ago during COVID,” explained Kasey Kaschak, who serves as Alex City’s Director of Parks & Recreation. “And it was always the city’s goal to bring this playground back.The new Imagination Station playground is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act , so those with mobility impairments can also access the same equipment and structures that other kids have!Roundtable on tackling gun violence held in Montgomery
