) - Statewide bicycle and pedestrian plan meetings around the state begin this week, with one happening Monday in west Alabama.
The Alabama Department of Transportation invites the public to 2715 Skyland Boulevard East in Tuscaloosa from 5 to 7 p.m. to see updates and give their thoughts on the state’s bike and pedestrian plan. The workshops allow people to learn more about the plan and share opinions on the needs of bicycle riders and pedestrians who walk on or alongside state roads.“Anytime we get valuable input from the public, we try to see what we can do to enhance our roadways and that helps our planning projects moving forward,” said John McWilliams with ALDOT. “And so ,we were able to implement that into our 82 project.
