Aldi supermarket bosses are recalling a popular stir fry meal after a rogue allergen was found inside, despite not being listed on the ingredient list.

Supermarket bosses at Aldi have recalled one of its most popular stir fry meal kits, following the discovery of a rogue ingredient.

Those with coeliac disease - which is an auto-immune condition that means the person cannot digest gluten properly - or who are gluten free are being urged not to eat the meal kit. "This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten. This update provides the product brand details and an update on the use-by date of the products affected."

As well as recalling the product, Aldi has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
