Several major supermarkets have issued an urgent message to customers after fears over unsafe foods items.

Full details of the affected products have been listed on the FSA website, including their picture, pack size, used by date and in some cases batch code.

The FSA said: "If you have bought the above product and have coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was purchased for a full refund.An Aldi spokesperson said: "We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your cooperation."

Chicken dippers Lidl GB is continuing to recall Red Hen Battered 25 Chicken Dippers because they may contain pieces of hard blue plastic. The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.Batch code: 306931400The FSA said: "If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought or contact [email protected] or call 0203 966 5566 for a full refund.
