Carlos Alcaraz had his drop shot working and overcame physical issues to claim a 6-3, 7-6 victory over Andrey Rublev at the ATP Finals. Alcaraz said after the Ruud match on Monday that he hadn’t been feeling well and was “uncomfortable in the stomach.” The Spaniard then cut short a practice session on Tuesday. Alcaraz wore a pink nose strip to help with his breathing. “It is something that I’m going to wear more often,” he said. “I could recover better between points.”
