The Coatbridge club head to Gala Fairydean Rovers tonight looking to return to winning ways
Albion Rovers boss Sandy Clark admits his side must start picking up wins to start climbing the Lowland League table after back-to-back draws.
After a goalless stalemate at Cowdenbeath last midweek, Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw by second-place Cumbernauld Colts on Saturday ahead of a trip to Gala Fairydean Rovers tonight and a home clash with Caledonian Braves on Saturday. With as many as five games in hand over some rivals there isn’t a major cause for concern, but he admits they need to be picking up more points.
He said: “You’ve got to look at it sensibly. Cowdenbeath are a really good team who will be challenging and Cumbernauld Colts were joint-top of the league before this game, and you don’t get into that position without being a good team. They are a good team.“We are progressing in certain areas and there is still a long way to go yet.
“If we can get points like this it is helpful but we do need to start getting three points from games.”“We’ve got to try and put our attacking sense into these game and go for the three points.” All the latest sport news in Lanarkshire Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
