The Albanese government will look to deepen ties with the Solomon Islands when the newly-elected leader of the Pacific nation visits Australia next week.
Solomon Islands PM Jeremiah Manele to visit Australia in first trip abroad as leader as Albanese looks to deepen partnership
While in Australia, Mr Manele will spend time in Queensland and also meet with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at Parliament House in Canberra. Mr Albanese and Mr Manele have only met once before when the pair both attended the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting last November.
