Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth says the Albanese Labor government is “turning the tide” of 10 years of inaction by the previous government and delivering a “comprehensive” housing agenda for Australians.

“The Albanese government is turning the tide of 10 years of inaction by those sitting Opposite and have begun delivering our comprehensive housing agenda for Australians,” Ms Rishworth said during Question Time on Monday.

“The government invested an extra $2.7 billion to increase Commonwealth renter assistance maximum rates by 15 per cent, this is the largest increase to rent assistance in more than 30 years and more than one million households will benefit.”
