3 Doors Down will take the stage at the 2025 Alaska State Fair, officials announced on Tuesday.
The American rock band will play as part of the ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series at the Borealis Theatre on Aug. 29, kicking off the final weekend of the 14-day event at the Alaska State Fair grounds in Palmer. The 2025 state fair will run Aug. 15 to Sept. 1 . 3 Doors Down is the sixth act to be penciled in for the concert series, which will eventually consist of 14 shows. A fair spokesperson said the remaining concerts will be filled as soon as possible.
According to the release, Brad Arnold, Matt Roberts and Todd Harrell formed 3 Doors Down in 1996. Years later, the band added guitarist Chris Henderson and a drummer to allow Arnold to focus on singing instead of drumming. “Kryptonite” is 3 Doors Down’s most streamed song on Spotify, with other hits like “Here Without You”, “When I’m Gone” and “It’s Not My Time” also compiling millions of plays.
Alaska’s News Source reached out to the Tanana Valley State Fair and Southeast Alaska State Fair about future acts but did not hear back immediately.
