A 39-year-old man from Dillingham, Alaska, Anthony Reed, has been charged with sexually abusing a minor and misconduct involving controlled substances after an investigation into alleged sexual assaults and the provision of drugs to a teenager. According to the documents, Dillingham police received a report that a teenager wanted to talk about past and ongoing sexual assaults. During the conversation, it was revealed that the suspect, Anthony Reed, sent the teen a video via Signal that depicted him exposing himself. The teen said Reed provided them with alcohol, cocaine, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms in exchange for sex. The two engaged in sex two to three times after August 2024 and before August 2025, when the teen was 15. During a children’s forensic interview, the victim said they would message Reed on various apps, including Facebook, Signal and Snapchat, according to the documents. These conversations were described as Reed flirting with them and asking them to send him a picture of the teen wearing “something sexy.” Reed drove the teen to his rental property and provided alcohol and cocaine. The teen was intoxicated and hardly remembers the drive. The date was estimated to be late winter 2024. However, the teen remembered they did not want to have sex with Reed, but they did so when they arrived at the house. The teen recalled another incident when Reed gave them a ride to another home of his. They remembered drinking alcohol and having unwanted sex in Reed’s bedroom. Reed said he planned to move back to Washington in a few days. The Dillingham Police Department executed a search warrant later that day at the property where the two allegedly had sex for the second time. It was confirmed that most of his possessions had been loaded into a shipping container located outside his residence. Reed was arrested during the execution. The documents claim additional reports had come forth involving Reed over the past year, each reflecting similar conduct. Two previous incidents involving Reed offering minors alcohol, drugs and/or money in exchange for sex have been reported to law enforcement. Reed has been charged with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, first-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and online enticement of a minor.
