The Alaska congressional debate Wednesday evening gave voters an opportunity to hear from Congresswoman Mary Peltola and her challengers former Gov. Sarah Palin, Nick Begich III, and Libertarian Chris Bye.
“We need to drill baby, drill,” she added, “Energy costs are the driver of inflation. Energy costs affect everything that we do in America [and] everything that we consume.” “If you’re going to fix the problem, you have to understand the root cause of the problem,” he said. “The root cause of inflation today is government spending and is financed by a Federal Reserve that has built a $9 trillion balance sheet.”
The candidates were also asked about political divisions in the U.S. and whether they were ruining the American democracy.
