Alaska Airlines has unveiled a new aircraft livery celebrating Seattle’s role as a host city for the FIFA World Cup 2026™

The custom design, created in partnership with Qatar Airways, is displayed on a Boeing 737-9 MAX and is intended to showcase Seattle as the city prepares to welcome visitors from around the world for the tournament. June 10, 2026; Greensboro, N.C.

Inspired by elements of the official Seattle Host City poster, the design also incorporates a whale tail graphic that reflects the Pacific Northwest’s maritime heritage.

On the underside of the aircraft, the phrase “WE ARE SEATTLE” is prominently displayed, highlighting the airline’s hometown roots and its role in welcoming fans traveling to the region.

“As Seattle’s hometown global airline, Alaska is proud to unveil the custom aircraft decal honoring SeattleFWC26, a tribute to the many people working to bring an unforgettable tournament experience to the Pacific Northwest,” the airline said. “We could not ask for a better hometown supporter than Alaska Airlines to carry Seattle and our region’s story to the world,” Tomozawa said.

“This livery is more than a design; it is a reflection of who we are as the Pacific Northwest — innovative, welcoming and proud — and an open invitation to experience that firsthand. ”The new livery serves as a visible symbol of Seattle’s preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and Alaska Airlines’ commitment to showcasing the city and region to travelers across its network and beyond.
