Outgoing Qantas boss Alan Joyce has faced questions about whether he personally discussed Qatar Airways' bid for more Australian flights with the government.
The Middle Eastern carrier had sought to add an extra 21 services a week into Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane but Labor recently knocked back the application.
"Mr Joyce you said Qantas sent a letter in October 2022. Did you discuss the proposal with either the prime minister or the minister for transport?" Greens Senator Penny Allman-Payne said. Ms Allman-Payne then asked a question on notice - whether Mr Joyce could provide information on the dates and times he had conversations with government members.
