The Tyrone Dobbs actor, who recently shared a peek at his gorgeous garden, penned: “Well, here goes ... some exciting news for you all! It’s come as a bit of a shock but now’s the time to share. Instagram The joke made by Alan saw his fans and friends taking to the comments section to reveal that they thought he was announcing baby news.
Perhaps the funniest reaction of all came as Coronation Street star Sam Aston’s wife Briony admitted she’d “screamed down the stairs” to let Alan’s co-star Sam know that he was expecting a baby, before realising it was a hoax.
