Alan Carr has returned to our screens in the new series of Interior Design Masters but off screen he shares a close friendship with Adele and has gone through an amicable split with his husband.
In his personal life, Alan split from husband Paul Drayton in January 2022 after being together for 13 years and has reportedly leaned on close pal Adele for support. Alan later opened up about the split on ITV'S Lorraine and said: "Oh me and Paul, 14 years-" he said as Lorraine told him: "That's a long time." Alan joked: "Which in gay years, is 207 years!"
The confirmation of their split came in the wake of Paul being given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for two years after he reversed a 4X4 into a police car before registering an alcohol test reading that was "off the scale". Speaking on The One Show, Alan had said: "We’ve known her for ages, and when we told her we were getting married she said, 'Can I please plan the whole day for you?'
