The board unanimously voted Wednesday to name Hunter Kingman as its new trustee.

The Alamo Heights Independent School District board has appointed Hunter Kingman , a local real estate developer, to fill a vacancy left by its former board president. Trustees voted unanimously on Wednesday to name Kingman as the Place 4 trustee after interviewing 18 candidates. The seat was previously held by Stacy Sharp e, who resigned last month to focus on serving as a judge for the new Texas Business Court ’s San Antonio division.

The district announced the appointment on social media, writing that Kingman and his wife graduated from Alamo Heights ISD and three of their four children currently attend Alamo Heights schools. The post says Kingman served on the District Education Advisory Council and has “experience serving with nonprofit and professional boards.” Kingman will finish the remainder of Sharp’s term, which expires in May, before deciding whether to run for election.
