Alabama’s Senators have joined more than 40 other lawmakers pledging to vote against any bill that would undermine the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funding for abortions.
Sens. Richard Shelby and Tommy Tuberville, both Republicans, pledged “unwavering” support for the Hyde Amendment and other pro-life protections.
The Biden administration, the Senators continued, should “eschew any taxpayer-funded giveaways that benefit the multi-billion-dollar abortion industry.” “
