“This immoral, unethical, racist, low down, dirty appointment of delegates by some people, who most of them don’t live in the state of Alabama, must be challenged,” said Kelley. On Wednesday, Sewell’s office released a statement in which the state’s only Democratic member of Congress refuted the claims of discrimination.
