An Alabama ridesharing driver is facing multiple sex crime charges in two separate assaults months apart in Auburn.
Theodore Leroy Halls, a 46-year-old Opelika man, was initially arrested earlier this month on first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse.
The victim reportedly came in contact with the suspect through a ridesharing service, police said. Charging documents list Uber as Halls’ employer. On Tuesday, police announced additional charges against Halls stemming from a similar incident that is reported to have happened in December 2020.
