Alabama Democrats will also have poll watchers in every county, the state party said.

The Alabama Republican Party is placing 200 poll watchers around the state for Tuesday’s election and sending another 200 to Georgia, one of the key battleground states in the presidential race.

“The Alabama Republican Party is committed to safeguarding the electoral process and ensuring every legal vote is counted properly,” GOP Chair John Wahl said in a news release. “Alabama voters deserve to know that their votes will be counted accurately, fairly, and transparently. Election integrity isn’t a partisan issue but rather a principle rooted in protecting the voices of the American people.

Last week, there was some disagreement between the nominees for the two parties about an election day monitoring effort by the U.S. Justice Department.
