Abbie Stockard, a 22-year-old nursing student from Alabama, has been crowned Miss America 2025.
A nursing student from Alabama , Abbie Stockard, has won the 2025 Miss America crown. The competition was held at Orlando's Walt Disney Theater in Florida over the weekend. Stockard, 22, impressed the judges to become the fourth winner from Alabama to win Miss America. Alabama also had success in Miss America Teen, with Ali Mims coming in as first-runner up behind winner Peyton Bolling from Arkansas.
Stockard will replace 2024 winner Madison Marsh and will have the opportunity to travel the world during her 12-month reign as Miss America advocate. During the Q&A portion of the pageant, Stockard was asked to discuss unemployment and spoke about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the declining labor participation rate among 25- to 54-year-olds. She emphasized the need to encourage people to join the workforce, adapt to new skills, and grow within current industries
