/Gray News) - A husband and father from Alabama is dead after police say he was shot and killed by an 18-year-old man he got into an argument with while at Walmart .

Sumiton Police testified at Crawford’s bond hearing Tuesday that the incident started with an argument between Crawford and Morrow inside Walmart. The suspect allegedly waited for the victim outside the store then followed his car until both pulled into a nearby restaurant parking lot. Investigators testified that Morrow confronted Crawford, broke out his passenger window and reached into the truck. The 18-year-old then shot him, according to testimony.

Morrow’s wife, Kayla, said on Facebook that her husband’s last words were “Kayla, I’m dying and I love you. ” Assistant Police Chief Chris Lollar testified that he viewed video surveillance from various sources and interviewed witnesses as part of the investigation.and brought before the court Tuesday for a pretrial detention hearing under Aniah’s Law, the constitutional amendment that allows judges to deny bail in certain violent felony cases.

The court determined Crawford is 18 years old, employed and has a certificate of graduation from a home schooling program. Walker County District Judge Henry Prentiss Allred ruled Crawford is a danger to the community but still entitled to bond. The judge set cash-only bail at $250,000 with tight restrictions if he is released.

If Crawford posts bond, he must remain at home at all times except to go to work, attend church, visit the doctor or meet with his attorneys. He is prohibited from possessing firearms, using social media and having any contact with the victim’s family.1 arrested, another in life-threatening condition after Montgomery chase ends with crashHonda recalls more than 880,000 cars over concerns drivers may lose control of vehiclesA new tampering scam is popping up at some gas pumps.
