During the floor debate in the Alabama House, two members said they believed male students were using female bathrooms at school. So, we did some digging.
. “Generally we have separate bathrooms that are multi-gender, so we were already accommodating those students either way.”
Rep. Jeff Sorrells, R-Hartford, said he had received calls about an elementary school in his district dealing with the issue. Rep. Andrew Sorrell, R-Muscle Shoals, said it is an issue at Muscle Shoals High School. He declined to name any schools when pushed by a member of the House education policy committee for specifics.
