After Alabama’s Tuesday practice, Nick Saban fielded questions from media members about his team, as Sept. 2′s season-opener against Middle Tennessee State draws ever closer.-- Saban opens, says he’s asking which percentage of his team is playing winning football. Says tendency is to endure practice rather than doing the things they need to do to win. Wants players out of their comfort zone. See it as investment instead of sacrifice.

-- Saban says he likes team’s attitude so far. Says they need “critical mass” of players to continue to improve so Tide can play winning football. -- Says Terrion Arnold is more confident, has more understanding of what’s required this year. Notes competition at cornerback.-- Says Amari Niblack is “mismatch player to some degree” as a pass receiver at tight end. Says Niblack is doing great during camp.Says Tide are trying to work more players in that role-- Saban asks how many players need to be led. Notes that some players don’t need leader to impact them every day to do the right things.
