Congresswoman Terri Sewell, chair of the Alabama delegation, announced unanimous endorsement Monday night. Harris would face former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, in the Nov. 5 general election. “Alabama’s delegates are all in for Kamala Harris!” Sewell said in a press release. “We are immensely grateful to President Biden for his transformative leadership and we look forward to continuing his legacy of accomplishment under Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Kamala Harris is exceptionally qualified, battle-tested, and ready to prosecute the case against Donald Trump, and win. In the spirit of unity and progress, we look forward to an energizing convention where we will cast our votes to make Kamala Harris our Democratic nominee and the next President of the United States.”
