Christina Lashay Thurman is charged in the Aug. 15, 2021, shooting death of Michael Lorenzo Lockhart Jr. She is believed to be headed to Mississippi, Louisiana or Texas.
A search is underway for a 30-year-old capital murder suspect who escaped from an Alabama county jail.
Thurman charged and arrested three weeks after the slaying. Though the crime took place in Choctaw County, Thurman was being held in the Lowndes County Jail.
