Alabama, now 2-0, will be on the road for the first time next week playing at Wisconsin. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. You can watch the game right here on WBRC.
The Bulls of South Florida received the opening kickoff, and to the surprise of many, stormed right down the field before having to end their drive with a 34-yard field goal to take an early 3-0 lead.
After the Tide touchdown, it was all defense for both teams. Both the Tide and Bulls punted on their next two possessions each, making for a punt on four consecutive possessions in total. Neither team on each of their two possessions gained more than 25-yards. In fact, the Tide went for negative yards on both possessions.
Jalen Milroe found CJ Dippre for 12-yards and converted a much needed 3rd & 5. Two plays later, Milroe connected with Kobe Prentice for 18-yards. After a pass interference on USF, the Tide called upon Jam Miller who ran the ball on four straight plays before Jalen Milroe took a 5-yard carry into the end zone for his second touchdown rush of the night to take a 14-6 lead into the half.
The drive was back and forth as multiple penalties were being called on both teams, but after an Alabama holding, Milroe found freshman WR Ryan Williams for 13-yards up to the USF 27-yard-line near the end of the 3rd quater. Deep in their own territory, the Tide defense held strong and forced a 3-and-out to get the ball back immediately.Jalen Milroe ran for 14-yards on 1st down before a Justice Haynes 4-yard run got the Tide down to the USF 16-yard line. After a rush that went for no yards on 1st down, Milroe found an open Kobe Prentice in the back of the end zone for the Tide’s first touchdown of the 2nd half, extending their lead to 21-13.
