Speculation on Percy Tau's future at Al Ahly is reportedly set to come to an end, with the club believed to have made a decision on his future.

Every week or month there seems to be a twist in Tau’s negotiations for a contract extension at Al Ahly. A promising start to the season saw Tau get six goals but he seems to have stagnated on them, with no assists. His form from the previous seemed to be the driving point for contract extension talks.
This new contract was set to make Tau the most paid player on the African continent. According to Egyptian reports, it would’ve been a three-year deal. That would’ve have seen the 29-year-old earning R23 million annually. It would then increase by R1.9 million in the first year, R2.8 million in the second and then R3.8 million in the final year. That would’ve seen the attacker spend the rest of his prime years at Al Ahly.
