Akron Symphony Orchestra’s Classic Series opens Sept. 21 at E.J. Thomas Hall.
Published: Aug. 12, 2024, 4:14 p.m.David Petkiewicz, cleveland.comAKRON, Ohio – Akron Symphony Orchestra’s 2024-2025 Classic Series celebrates the orchestra’s 70-year history with works by a diverse range of composers and performers.
The orchestra’s upcoming Classic Series offers a large variety – from the emotionally powerful works of Verdi’s “Requiem” and Mahler’s “Resurrection Symphony” to the graceful sounds of Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 and Mozart’s “Clarinet Concerto.” The series also celebrates the 30th anniversary of the orchestra’s partnership with Gospel Meets Symphony.
The orchestra’s Classic Series performances are held at E.J. Thomas Hall, located at 198 Hill St. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from September through May. Single tickets start at $20 and can be purchased on theClassic Series Subscriptions are also available on the website. Tickets purchased at least a week before a performance will be mailed unless other arrangements are made. Tickets purchased less than a week before a concert can be picked up at the venue the night of the concert.
