AKRON , Ohio – With the renovations to Akron ’s Lock 3 performance venue complete, the city is asking residents to share feedback that will guide the venue’s programs for the summer and years to come.

Survey feedback will guide music and festival choices for the venue, according to the city. “We are dedicated to creating events and experiences at Lock 3 that reflect the vibrant culture and diverse interests of our residents,” Mayor Shammas Malik said in a news release. “As we plan the upcoming Lock 3 Summer programming, your voice is essential in shaping what’s next for our community’s favorite downtown destination. This survey is your opportunity to share your ideas, preferences, and feedback to help us design activities, concerts and entertainment that bring people together and make Akron shine.” In November of 2024 the city celebrated the completion of $17 million in renovations to the outdoor venue, located at 200 S. Main St. The 3.2-acre space has been reimagined as a year-round park that is accessible and welcoming for residents and visitors. The venue centerpiece is the three-sided Maynard Performance Pavilion, which can accommodate concerts and events for up to 3,500 people.Lock 3 is now open for winter fun in downtown Akron following $17 million in renovations.
