After a tight vetting process, they now have 47 cadets in their academy, the largest class ever since COVID. The class is unique because it’s also the most women they’ve brought on board in the history of the Akron police department . There are 15 women among the 47.
They play a vital role in what we are trying to accomplish and it’s important for the community to see women in those roles
