Robin Stevens, 40, will be eligible for parole after serving 16 years.
AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man convicted of the 2019 rape an 11-year-old girl was sentenced Monday to life in prison.
Robin Stevens, 40, will be eligible for parole after serving 16 years, according to Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh. Judge Baker Ross also designated Stevens as a Tier III sex offender, meaning Stevens will have to register with the local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life if he is released from prison.
Authorities say the victim was staying at Stevens’ home in 2019 when he sexually assaulted her. A jury on April 4 convicted Stevens of rape, attempted rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition.
