Jeff Ice is the owner of the company and he said some people are mistakenly assuming that Ice Force Security in Akron is connected to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. Ice said it’s led to verbal abuse and intimidation and over the past month it’s gotten worse.
AKRON , Ohio - As federal immigration raids continue to ramp up across the country many people are terrified and angry but for the owner of an Akron security company, the policy has had unintended consequences.
Ice said he’s been called names, cursed out, and put in dangerous situations which is why he wants the community to know that he is in no way affiliated with I.C.E. He said things escalated on Sunday when he was driving home from a job in Akron. He says a driver kept cutting him off and then followed him when he pulled into a convenience store parking lot to call the police.
