Following the arrest of potential suspects in the murder of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and the public speculation fueled by the Hollywood-style coverage of the arrest, his family has issued a statement registering their concern.
This is the second time that the family has had to implore the rapper’s fan base, known collectively as ‘The Megacy’ to “mourn respectfully”.The family opened their statement – shared on Lynn Forbes’ Instagram account – by expressing their gratitude for the outpouring of support from the fans as they continue to mourn their loss.
“We have seen people deeply hurt and angered by Kiernan’s murder and wanting justice. However, as a family, we are deeply concerned that irresponsible actions, accusations and assumptions may cause more harm than good,” read part of the statement.
