“Tumpukan perhatian kepada keluarga kerana semuanya bermula dengan keluarga. Masyarakat bermula dengan keluarga. Baik dan buruk juga bermula dengan keluarga. Fikirkan cara mengendali cabaran dalam keluarga tetapi jangan sesekali melepaskan Tuhan kerana hanya dengan Tuhan, kita tidak kehilangan kemanusiaan,” kata Uskup Cornelius Piong dalam homilinya sempena sambutan Ulang Tahun Keuskupan Keningau Ke-30, pe-ringkat paroki St Peter, Bundu.

Selain itu, Bapa Uskup juga menyatakan bahawa dengan berkumpul dalam perayaan seperti ini, kita bersama membangun ge-reja melalui instituisi, memelihara bumi sebagai rumah alam ciptaan Tuhan dan perlu mengambil peranan membangun masyarakat yang harmoni ciptaan Tuhan . Paderi paroki, Fr Clement Abel, dalam ucapannya mengajak umat paroki Kuala Penyu agar menjadi cahaya dan terang bagi semua orang.
