US airlines 'planning TOTAL shutdown' over fears air traffic control network could collapse due to coronavirus pandemic

Amid airlines being forced to reduce capacity due to reduced demand for flights with the coronavirus pandemic, airlines have feared that air traffic controllers falling sick from the virus will cause problems for airports around the nation. In the past week, Chicago and New York City have both been forced to temporarily halt or delay flights after air traffic controllers at each city's respective tower tested positive for the virus.Airlines are reportedly preparing for a possible shutdown of all passenger flights in the U.S.
