You can officially spend the night at Shrek's Swamp, which is listed on Airbnb. Here's how to book your stay online.
announced Tuesday morning that they will be offering a weekend stay at the fantastical home from the DreamWorks franchise.
Booking opens on October 13 at 6 p.m. local time for a one or two-night stay for up to three guests October 27-29.Nestled deep within the forests of the Scottish Highlands and accented with the cozy comforts Shrek has accumulated over the years, the swamp offers a secluded retreat. This mud-laden, moss-covered, murky-watered oasis is a snug escape from the outside world and a perfect way to embrace the beauty of nature.
During the stay, guests are invited to relax in the ambiance of “earwax candlelight”, kick their feet up with a parfait, swap stories around the fire until late in the night, enjoy a stack of freshly made waffles in the morning and enjoy the ultimate privacy of Shrek’s trusted outhouse. Shrek’s loveable sidekick Donkey is the voice behind the official Airbnb listing: “I’m swamp-sitting while Shrek’s away this Halloween, and I’m absolutely delighted to invite you in for a fairytale stay,” the description reads. “Oh, and never mind the ‘BEWARE’ signs. They’re probably for decoration.”
