Airbnb claimed it made a 'mistake' in banning right-wing YouTuber Lauren Southern's parents from using its rental services for a 'romantic getaway.'
Tampa resident Shaun Carcary gave $1,200 to a Ukrainian family by booking their Airbnb. Carcary told 'Fox & Friends' that hosting fees were waived, allowing them to receive the money instantly.
Southern revealed the ban Tuesday on Twitter, writing,"My parents just got banned from AirBnB for being related to me. They have never booked anything for me. They do not represent me in any way. They aren't publicly political in any way." It stated,"We’ve removed you from the Airbnb platform because your account is closely associated with a person who isn’t allowed to use Airbnb. This means you’ll no longer be able to book reservations on Airbnb."
