AirAsia to mandate face masks for travelers as part of new anti-coronavirus measures COVID19
MANILA - AirAsia on Sunday said travelers will need to wear a mask before they can be allowed to check in or board their flights, as part of several new measures the airline will implement once commercial flights are allowed to operate again.
Travelers will be required to bring their own masks and wear them properly before, during and after the flight, including during check-in and bag collection, the airline said in a statement. Carry-on cabin baggage will also be limited to just one piece not exceeding 5 kilos for each passenger. This is to facilitate social distancing especially during embarkation and disembarkation, AirAsia said.
"We will observe seat distancing, when flight occupancy allows, for guests to move within respective zones, under cabin crew’s guidance."Before booking flights, international travelers will also need to check travel restrictions to see first if they are allowed to go to their destination.
