Air Force has finalized their Mountain West opponents for the 2025 season, marking a significant step in their schedule preparation. The Falcons face a challenging slate including Boise State, a two-time defending champion and recent College Football Playoff participant.
Earlier this week, Air Force learned their Mountain West opponents for the upcoming season, bringing them one step closer to a full 2025 schedule. Boise State, the two-time defending champion and first-time College Football Playoff participant, is a significant opponent in the conference. Air Force faced three of these teams last season, losing to San Jose State, New Mexico, and Colorado State.
\The Mountain West Conference will return to its typical eight conference games after playing only seven last season due to a scheduling agreement with Oregon State and Washington State. The Falcons have three scheduled games, including a home matchup against Bucknell on August 30th at Falcon Stadium, their only game against an FCS program. Additionally, they have a showdown at Navy on October 4th and a home game against Army West Point on November 1st.\Air Force still needs to secure a fourth non-conference game. Their originally scheduled return game against Sam Houston fell through, creating a need for another opponent. The Falcons finished last season with a 5-7 record after a seven-game losing streak, but they managed to win their final four contests. \Looking ahead, Boise State, Fresno State, Colorado State, San Diego State, and Utah State will depart for the Pac-12 Conference after the 2025-26 athletic year. To fill those vacancies, the Mountain West has extended invitations to Hawai’i as a full member, along with UTEP. Grand Canyon and UC Davis will join as non-football members, while Northern Illinois will join as a football-only member
