KUCHING, May 3 — Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg today assured Buddhists in the state that his government will continue to ensure their rights and religious freedom as well as the interests of all other groups are maintained.

“In conjunction with the Wesak Day this year, I sincerely hope that all Buddhists in Sarawak will continue to strive to strengthen the relationship between races and religions,” Abang Johari said in a statement.
