Workers ready a Philippine flag at the Emilio F. Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite on Thursday in preparation for this year’s Philippine Independence Day celebrations.
In a news release on Thursday, the Department of Labor and Employment said that employees who will work during the regular holiday are entitled to 200 percent of their regular daily salary. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, DOLE is allowing some companies to defer the payment of holiday pay until such time that normal business operations resume.
