COLLEGE STATION — Texas A&M started preparing for 2023 as soon as the Aggies found out they wouldn’t be in a bowl this season following a 13-10 loss at Auburn on Nov. 12.
Weigman scrambled eight times for 66 yards, averaging 8 yards per carry. The Aggies will need that threat scooting into 2023 in giving defenses something else to mull, because a running quarterback has not been a part of A&M’s attack for the most part in 2022. The Aggies have held seven of their 11 opponents under 25 points, which should be enough for seven wins. It has not been, but that’s on Fisher’s perpetually struggling offense .The Aggies’ two best players this season are running back Devon Achane and safety Antonio Johnson. Achane has missed the last two games with a foot injury but Fisher is hopeful he returns against LSU on Saturday in A&M’s season finale.
