The sitting of an exam that football agents needed to pass to comply with new regulations from October 1 was hit by problems
exam on Wednesday have complained of technical difficulties that meant many were unable to complete it, with one describing the situation as a “shambles”.
From October 1 this year, agents without a FIFA licence cannot represent players or coaches. Passing a multiple-choice exam is required to receive this licence. “My internet cut out twice during the exam, which I’m certain impacted my clock as I went from feeling in control to rushing. People and invigilators were constantly moving around, there were numerous loud announcements and people leaving or walking around when they finished early.”
Another candidate reported the exam conditions were chaotic because people were told to connect to the internet via their mobile phone hotspot rather than the Wi-Fi, which raised concerns other candidates could be cheating by looking up answers on their phones.
